Charles Stone artworks sale

Many people will know the work of Charles – he designed and built the Bottle Kiln complex and went on to spend over a quarter of a century producing paintings, drawings and pastels, many of which were shown in our café and gallery spaces over the years.

Sadly we lost Charles last year. It was his wish that his work would end up on people’s walls rather than in storage, and it is the wish of his family that we help out the fantastic charity Douglas MacMillan Hospice who were such an amazing support during his last few weeks and who rely entirely on contributions from the public.

Accordingly, we will be holding a sale of his artworks at The Bottle Kiln on Monday 11th March from 6pm until 9pm. There will be lots of work on display around the building – much of it very reasonably priced – and light refreshments. We would love it if you could help us to put his fantastic artworks on your walls and raise some money for this very important cause.

Every penny raised on the evening from the sale of Charles' artworks will go to the charity and we aim to sell as much as possible. I’m sure that we will also be exchanging stories about this very unique man and all that he achieved in his life.

We very much hope you can make it and help us to make it a really worthwhile event.

Dominic, Nic and Rebecca Stone

Join us for this one-off sale event as we showcase Charles' substantial back catalogue, a wide mixture of styles and media spanning over the last quarter of a century, and very much priced to sell.
